Facts About Ballons

Many manufacturers will try to make you believe that their product is the best over and above all others. The fact is that from time to time, every manufacturer will have a bad run that will go through quality control and will be sold to the consumer. Who can claim that he or she has never had a balloon burst or with pin holes!

Let's get the record straight once and for all and keep the focus on what makes a good balloon:

1) The Weight Of The Balloon (thickness of the balloon membrane)

Whenever you involve larger quantities of pure latex (less filler*) in the production of a balloon, the more expensive it will be to produce. Obviously, a balloon with a thicker sheet of latex will have less chance to burst or have pin holes, and will also have a better resistance to nature's elements (humidity, heat, sun, wind, etc.). It will also float (size for size) for a longer time with helium. Our new standard of production at Prestige involves between 5% up to 20% on average more latex (per balloon) than the industry. 2) Color Pigmentation

The pigment concentration used in coloring the balloons, varies for each manufacturer. Generally speaking, the more pigments are used, the deeper the color and the more expensive the product will be to produce. This is why some manufacturers prefer to market light-colored balloons (with less pigments). 3) The Neck Of The Balloon

A longer neck will evidently help the user to tie the balloon faster, be more effective when the time comes to use it in a decoration and will also give more flexibility and resistance to a balloon inflated to its full size.
